Rod seals

Rod sealings are exposed to the most severe working conditions, as apart from the standard wear they must withstand constant changes on the piston rod surface. Leak from a gland may damage not only the machine but also its direct vicinity. Therefore, when facing the selection of the sealing, it is necessary to make sure that:

the profile is correct;
the lubricant will not damage the sealing material;
there is no unwanted contamination on the rod;
the sealing is assembled correctly and the actuator movement will not damage it.
